Family: Felidae Family, this is the family in the order Carnivora, and known as Cats 

Scientific Name: Panthera Tigris

Tiger Family: Sumatran Tiger,  Amur Tiger, Bengal Tiger, Indochinese Tiger, South China Tiger, Malayan Tigers,

Population: less than 400 Sumatran Tigers (1978), 540 Amur Tigers, 2,500 Bengal Tigers, 350 Indochinese Tigers & 250 Malayan Tigers.

Size: Male tigers can grow up to over 3m long and weigh up to 300kg

Diet: Carnivorous- They typically hunt alone and stalk prey. It can eat up to 88 pounds of meat at one time.

Where do they live?: Sumatran Tiger only found in Sumatra, Indonesia, Amur Tigers only found in the Sikhote-Alin range in  Far East Russia, Bengal Tigers are primarily found in India, Indochinese Tiger are found in Thailand, Cambodia, China, Lao, Myanmar & Vietnam, South China Tigers are thought to be extinct, and Malayan Tigers are found on the Malay Peninsular and southern tip of Thailand.
